Wandering around TK Maxx with my girl friends hunting out discount shoes recently our eyes crept towards the beauty products.
I have become a bit of a fiend when it comes to the discount store, seeking out makeup and delicious treats. I find that TK Maxx stock a lot of beloved UK brands as well as foreign, and all for a fraction of the cost (shipping fees are not kind when buying your makeup internationally).
Amidst Look Beauty, Physicians Formula and Calvin Klein cosmetics I found the tinned treasure which is the W7 In The Nude palette, a perfect Urban Decay Naked3 dupe.
This natural and nude eye colour palette is fantastic and around a quarter to an eighth of the cost of the renowned Naked3 palette depending on where you purchase it.
The 12 shades come with a double ended applicator brush (the quality of the sponge applicator side is questionable, but the shades are so fabulous considering the price you cannot really complain) and include the following: Latte, Angel, Venice, Marilyn, Copper Pot, Sun Kissed, Alice, Bad Manners, Coffee Cup, Mud Slide, Tokyo and Fashionista.
My favourites have to be Latte and Copper Pot, the two compliment each other perfectly for a natural look with a little shimmer (glitter is a girls best friend, always).
W7 say themselves that the shades are “inspired” and the pigments are almost identical to the Naked2 palette. In The Nude is packed full of creamy colours, rich textures and a wonderful variety of matte and shimmery eye shadows.
W7 other palettes Lightly Toasted and In The Buff dupe Naked and Naked2, completing the copies of the original Urban Decay Naked trio.
I apply all my eye shadows with primer beforehand and find the In The Nude shadows last throughout the day or through the night (and we have some pretty wild nights out in Nottingham) without creasing or fading.
In my experience it lasts as long as my Urban Decay Book of Shadows Vol. II palette eyes shadows (I have adopted a friends but I am yet to invest in my own Naked palettes, impoverished student and all that).
In The Nude is available online at W7 here and in some TK Maxx stores.
