Forge & Foster Rose and Mesh Classic Watch - The LDN GalForge and Foster review

I’m always excited to discover new accessory brands, especially when the words luxury, fashion and affordability are thrown into the mix. Welcome Forge and Foster.

Forge and Foster emulate just that. A high-end watch company based just outside of London, they work with creatives across Europe to ensure their products are as pretty as they are practical.

Selling directly online, they can ensure competititve prices without having to compromise on quality – and trust me, luxury and affordability come hand-in-hand with Forge and Foster.

Forge and Foster offers a selection of gorgeous watches for women and men, as well as bracelets. They have a traditional British aesthetic with large watch faces, a variety of leather or coloured stainless steel straps and gorgeous finishing details.

So, what do I think of Forge and Foster?

The Rose + Mesh watch is just beautiful, with a minimalistic design featuring a rose gold mesh strap, large watch face and secure clasp. The watch is easily adjusted to fit your wrist perfectly and the straps are even interchangable depending on your preference.

What I love about Forge and Foster is that their watches can be worn with anything, it is so hard to find a beautiful watch with such subtle luxury – so, you will certainly enjoy dressing them up and down.

I love watches with interchangable straps, it really allows you to compliment your outfits and show off your style a little more easily. I will certainly be after the rose and nude strap next.

You can check out the entire Forge and Foster collection of women’s watches here, as well as their beautiful Instagram account here.

Have you heard of Forge and Foster? Which watch would you choose from the collection?

September Birthstone Ring by jewellerybox

What girl doesn’t love a sparkly ring on her finger? Even more so when it is an absolute steal. While browsing the jewellerybox website I utterly fell for this sterling silver sapphire gemstone ring*.

When it arrived a few days later in the quaintest little box (just look at all the love and care put into the packaging) I could not wait to see it. Inside was the most dainty ring, a slender sterling silver band adorned with a sapphire gemstone.

Due to its slim band, this ring is absolutely perfect to stack alongside other rings and there are an array of rings on the jewellerybox website for it to be placed atop. Just think of the pretty stacked creations you could be wearing!

Now, the avid reader will realise that I am in fact an August baby, and thus, a peridot would be my gemstone. However, the deep blue of the sapphire stole my heart in this case and I went against the zodiac, stars and astronomy.

So, what do think of the September Birthstone Ring?

Do not fear though, because each star sign is covered and there is a wonderful array of birthstone rings, earrings and necklaces at jewellerybox, making the collection a perfect present all-year-round for that special someone in your life.

When it comes to jewellery, everything I wear must be sterling silver or gold. This isn’t due to some deep-rooted snobbery as unfortunately I flair up within the hour. As you can imagine, this can be pretty pricey if I want to accessorise myself (hence why I am so delighted with my new ring and its ability to match my outfits).

Honestly, the amount of affordable and fashionable jewellery on the website is astonishing, and all of the extensive collection is sterling silver or 9ct gold (so no itchy ears, hands or necks – jewellerybox are assay assured so quality is guaranteed) so you can cast all that tacky faded costume jewellery aside.

If you are wondering what to get as a gift, now you know (you can thank me later).

What do you think of my sapphire gemstone ring? What is your favourite product on the jewellerybox website?

Incorporating Vintage Into Your Daily Style

A dedication to vintage clothing takes a considerable amount of time and effort but it’s certainly worth it.

You must prepare yourself mentally to trawl endlessly through vintage, thrift and charity shops for your prized pieces. People who snub charity shops for vintage clothing are the worst and these are often where hidden gems are to be found!

Firstly, it’s always good to have an idea of what you’re looking for before venturing out.  If new to these types of shops they can tend to be a bit overwhelming, leading to frustration and alternative purchases. Oops.

However, when you do begin rampantly purchasing be sure to not overdo it when it comes to getting dressed! It is better to incorporate these unique pieces than swamp yourself in them. Avoid copying styles, be inspired and make them ’you’. You want to compliment your own style, not try and force it upon yourself!

Always keep an eye out for classic pieces and designer brands, charity shops tend to be thwart with them so be keen and persist. If in doubt, ask the shop assistant or quickly Google the brand.

When browsing double check your items. As vintage clothing is ‘pre-loved’ there are often pieces that are slightly damaged and even those beyond your tender and loving repair, if that is the case then be strong and leave them on the hanger.

Don’t just think of clothing but also the use of accessories. If it is classic, go wild with statement pieces and if it is not, then leave your retro outfit to simply do the talking.

The best thing about vintage clothing and shopping? No one else has it and it is fun! You’ll soon collect a variety of one-of-a-kind pieces, often for a fraction of the cost of the high street!

Do you enjoy shopping for vintage items? What is your favourite piece?

A peek at the Vivienne Westwood Red Patent Wallet

I have a serious problem when it comes to buying things that I cannot really afford but after working all summer I decided to treat myself.

I think every girl has a designer she just adores and mine is Vivienne Westwood, I love the bright colours, quirky prints and the woman herself – she is in my opinion, a genius.

On a last minute trip to Bicester Village in Oxford, I chose a toned down and simplistic Vivienne Westwood red patent wallet. I battled with black but red won due to matching a pair of Vivienne Westwood and Melissa pumps I had been bought earlier this year.

I adore my new wallet and its discounted price tags. It is amazing to be able to fit my masses of cards and dwindling pennies in and looks lovely with its patent outer and leather inner. I think red may have just become my new black. Oops.

Do you like the wallet? What is your favourite designer?
