Revolution Beauty London party - Marylebone, London

Revolution Pro launch

Last Thursday I had a very exciting evening indeed. I attended the Makeup Revolution 4th birthday and launch of Revolution Beauty London (formerly Makeup Revolution) and their newest range.

It was a fabulous affair, with hundreds of bloggers in attendance, beauty adorning every corner and delicious food and drinks. It was a night embellished with cocktails, chatter and fun.

Plus, I got to meet some absolutely wonderful girls and guys in the process.

Makeup Revolution Blush Queen palette The LDN Gal 1

Makeup Revolution Blush Queen palette review

The Makeup Revolution Blush Queen palette is my favorite high street blush palette, for all the right reasons. The appeal of Makeup Revolution is not only the low price, but its variety and amount of beauty products. I am a little obsessed with their blush and eye shadow palettes to say the least.

The Blush Queen palette features eight highly pigmented and baked shades of blush and highlighter, which are the perfect shimmery collection for transitioning from an every day glow to a more defined evening look.

Four shades are neutral, while the remaining prove more vivid and pigmented. Although the shades are not named, it features an array of velvety and marbled nudes, peaches, pinks and rouge.

So, what do I think of the Makeup Revolution Blush Queen palette?

The formulation of these shades are of a good quality for a high street brand and for the price of the palette. What I love about this palette is its simplistic design, it is lightweight, portable and bright. It doesn’t include a mirror to which some may be dissapointed to discover, but lets be honest, they only get covered in powder eventually anyway!

These shades give a wonderful subtle glow that is buildable. I simply adore the fact that the palette features both highlight and blush shades. You can use the highlight to define your cheekbones and the blush upon your cheeks to define your look.

It is slightly unfortunate that this palette does not feature some matte shades, but hey, it can’t have everything! For me, it is a winning combination and well worth adding to your makeup collection.

Have you tried any Makeup Revolution products? What do you think of this blush?
